Kia recalled more than 450,000 SUVs, saying they present risk of fire.

The 2020 to 2024 Tellurides’ power-seat motors can overheat when the seat slide knob sticks, potentially catching fire, according to a notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.

Kia urges owners to park the vehicles outdoors and away from any structures until they’re repaired.

Brand dealers will add a bracket to the seat switchback covers and replace the slide knobs, the recall notice says.

Kia is scheduled to mail recall notices to owners on July 30. Nearly 463,000 units are included in the recall.
